The fine print is completely negotiable but the conditions usually look like this.
In order for the employee to take advantage of the company sponsored first-time homebuyer program, they must meet the following criteria:
- Be first-time homebuyers
- Must have been with the company for at least 90 days.
- Must stay with the company for at least 3 years from closing date, or must pay back the pro-rated amount of the gifted down payment.
When creating our personalized down-payment assistance program with employers, the extent of your investment is up to you.
Generally, most of our partner businesses elect to gift an amount usually between 1%-2% of the purchase price of the home, up to $4,500
Motto Mortgage Complete and our partners will credit the buyer 50% of the amount that you put towards the down-payment.
